DGM Optics OA-9.0 ATS

This is a huge telescope -- if it were a conventional Newtonian, it would be a 12-inch f/7.5 or 13-inch f/7. But that comes with the design of the OA-9.0, so I can't complain much about the size. The mount is very well built and has smooth motions. You'll need a step-ladder, too, so "ease of use" suffers.

Optically it's wonderful; I have the OA-6.5 as well, and the 9.0 is clearly superior. Contrast, color and resolution are superb.

I bought this one used because they weren't available from DGM Optics anymore; the value-for-money was definitely there!

DGM Optics OA-9.0 ATS

Crystal Pinpoint stars everywhere I look. It's like having a 9" APO. Ease of use is 8 because it's a Dob rather than GEM mount. Furniture quality base with very smooth action. The best part is the view. I've never seen anything like it.
