Great anime. Hikage really rocks!!! I know that it's an early version of Ninja Scroll, but who cares. I like the mysteriousness and eerieness of the movie, especially the preview and the haunting song that goes along with it.

Very cool fight scenes(Hikages weapons kicked ass!) A very dark and moody movie that definitley sets its own mood. There was a fair amount of violence although it wasn't to extreme. You gotta love Aya 2's wire weapon!

This is THE best anime ninja movie ever. Not only does it have superb fight scenes, but the plot and characters are equally superior. I choose this over stuff like Ninja Scroll ANY day. The atmosphere and backgrounds in this were incredible...

This is an incredibly atmospheric show. WAY better than Ninja Scroll. Everyone should see this not only for its action, but for its intriguing plotline as well. GREAT!!!!

If you liked ninja scroll, you will probably like this. This contains about all the elements from ninja scroll except for the sexual content. It's a really good story as well. Violence is at times more graphic than in Ninja Scroll. There's even a scene where two ninjas fight the same way as Jubie(i know i spelled his name wrong) and the blind devil did from ninja scroll. I could go on forever comparing this to Ninja Scroll but I think this is really good movie, It's worth a rental.
