Description:Maksutov-Newtonian.Long delivery times, but very smooth figure.Sharp, high contrast images in a compact package. I have always been a refractor nut, but choose this telescope to get more aperture in a more convenient size.

Excellent tube finish and I like the helical focuser. Highly recommended.

Superb optics in a convenient,lightweight package. Clusters never looked better.Even galaxies and nebula show good detail thanks to the high contrast.Constantly stunbling across 12 mag. galaxies I've never seen before. Looking at Saturn just the other night...the outer ring looked like grooves in a record, I swear there were dusky "spokes" on the inner ring. The belts on Jupiter had a reddish-brown coloring, GRS was easy and showed detail.
I don't really believe in a "10" rating for ANY telescope, but this versatile instrument deserves to be set apart from the others. Can't see anything in a 6" scope??....BULL!

ps I was a refractor fan, this MakNewt is much more portable, and better!!

Very nice scope. You get a couple of inches more aperture than a same price high quality apo. Great for wide field view and very good for planets and moon.

Ceravolo HD-145
I have owned this telescope for 5-6 years. It is an outstanding visual telescope. Whether you are looking at wider field views or highly magnified images of the planets, the images are crisp and sharp with great contrast. I recommend it highly.
