Celestron Ultima 5mm
I own the Ultima 5mm and the Ultima 12.5. I enjoy the 12.5 more due to the extra eye relief that is available. If you can deal with the eye relief this is great. If it annoys the heck out of you like it does me...maybe the 12.5 with an Ultima Barlow would be a better bet.

You can pick Ultimas up used for $55 to $70. At that price they are very hard to beat.

Celestron Ultima 5mm
i used this eyepiece alot in my f/5 reflector. Eye relief is tight
but images are contrasty and sharp , viewed jupiter and mars
at 260x. Great views right to the edge and no ghosting.

Love the other Ultimas. This one could use some improvement. Especially in eye relief. However, it does have resonably sharp images at very high power.

almost no eye relief, not sharp at all, detail was not as good a standard plossl ep, ghosting on bright objects, not recomended put the money to a good Vixen 5 mm LV, a far better high power ep. makes the ultima look like a toy.

Good eye relief for a non-glass wearer like me. Sharp, flat field with fair contrast. Field could be a bit wider.
