Celestron Ultima 24mm
Exceptional eyepiece for the price - Nice field of view, tack sharp edge-to-edge and better contrast and brightness than a regular plossl. Deep sky objects usually elusive in urban light pollution with my older 26 mm Vixen plossl popped into view because of this eyepiece's great contrast.

Eye relief is just right, with or without glasses. It also barlows and double-barlows with absolutely no vignetting. This eyepiece is such a pleasure to use that I have shelved my 12.5 mm Ultima and now couple this with a barlow instead. Filter threads are smooth as silk.

It's a real keeper - snatch one up if you can find it on the used market, or try Orion's Ultrascopic or Antares' Ultima (they are the same eyepiece).

Celestron Ultima 24mm
Great combination of AFOV, contrast and sharpness. I enjoy this eyepiece both in my 8" SCT and my 4" F5 refractor. Why in the world did Celestron stop making this little beauty?

I'm lucky. I got one in 1998. It's a great eyespiece. My best ep for DSO.

Celestron Ultima 24mm
Rapidly becoming a favorite of mine on my C102HD refractor. Great eye relief (not too much), sharp and bright. Placed in front of the diagonal with my ultima barlow, I get about 126x on the moon. With the great eye relief, you start to get a real "porthole into space" effect with that combination. Highly recommended.

Celestron Ultima 24mm
Another great Ultima. Typical Ultima sharpness, contrast, etc. Don't use it as much as my 18mm Ultima but I plan to keep it.

Celestron Ultima 24mm
Seems to have a noticably better apparent field of view than a 26mm Super Plossl that compared it with. Excellent eyepiece, great eye relief.
