This is my first telescope, and I've had it about two years now. I really have learned a LOT using this telescope. It still amazes me with its ability to resolve details and moons as well as it does when I observe Jupiter or Saturn.

Ive also been able to locate and view DSOs as well. The Great Orion Nebula is amazing when viewed at low power through this beast.

I rated ease of use at 8 only because the scope is rather large (Yes i realize that its not a 20" obsession) and can be a bear to haul out when fully assembled. Still, it hasn't deterred me from using it.

Great scope and a great price!

me again!

I forgot to mention that I agree with the other reviewers. This scope stays in collimation incredibly well! I have only collimated it twice in two years and its still dead on!

This telescope blew me away. I could find no difference in difraction patterns even at 80x per inch. Planetary detail is fantastic and contrast excellent. I've looked through lots of telescopes good and bad and this one is as good as any I've seen. I don't know if their all this good but I have to agree with the other reviewer on all points.

Bought it for the heck of it. I expected little from this scope but I got a lot. Great scope. Optics on mine are first rate. Contrast is the best of any reflector I have seen. Many other observers have commented about this contrast as well. The mount is stable and VERY smooth in Altitude and smooth in azimuth. The plastic focuser is made of the best plastic I ve seen. It stays in allignment suprisingly well. I was on a trip to a dark sky site and the road was so bumpy the bottem of the telescope slid and hit the floor with the front high in the air. I expected to go into colimation but when we got to the site it was still in perfect collimation. Star test is PERFECT. Its performance on Mars was only a hundreth of a percentage behind a nearby AP 155!
Great scope. Wonderful optics. Especially for the sale price I got it for!!!!!
