Can only be used on a tripod or binocular mount. Splendid images! Rubber eyecups, decent eye relief (some binoculars have too much eye relief for non-eyeglass wearers).e

There is a great deal of vignetting on daytime views, given the 4mm exit pupil. Bands of discoloration are visible in daytime in the transition from the center to the edge of the lens, as though the light has to pass through too much coating there. 
Nighttime views are pretty good, but discolorations due to the multicoatings and chromatic aberration is everywhere. Views of Jupiter and moons, for example, contain so much noise from false color, that you are almost not sure what you are looking at.
These are good for sweeping views of the Milky Way, but not much more.

ridulously wide field. The kellner eyepieces can't even start to correct near the edge of the field.

When compared with fujinon 16 x 70 they are brighter the equal in the centre but very poor on the edges.

Over priced given poor edge definition.

Still sharp in the centre only.

I recently purchased a pair of these and like them very much. The 16mm eye relief is just enough for me to use them with my glasses on, although I do have to squeeze in a little to get a full FOV. Center sharpness is very good and the images are overall quite pleasing (I use them primarily for astronomy). I was easily able to split Mizar A and B in only poor to fair seeing. Color correction isn't bad at all - better than I'd expected in fact. Vega showed a natural blue and Arcturus yellow with no noticable fringing. Haven't had a look at the moon yet, though. Brightness is good. Edge sharpness leaves a bit to be desired, and there is a little coma near the edge, but not enough to really detract from viewing pleasure. They aren't as sharp and contrasty as my 10x70 Fuji's, but for the price ( I got mine for under $400) an excellent value.

Got the Celestron 20x80 Deluxe and right off the bat liked them. They are fairly heavy and need a good mount to hold them steady. If you want something to carry around for a few hours at a star party 10X50s would be better. There is false colour around bright objects such as the moon. Noticed green and purple halos at times when viewing the moon. This bothers some more than others. For the price and the nice views I can live with it. However the moon itself excluding the limb is bright and crisp very pleasing. On a good tripod was able to pan around get some beautiful views of open clusters and the Orion Nebula was stunning. They come with a good case and straps for the case and wide straps for the binoculars. Celestron has dropped their price. Cheapest I found is 357.00. After owning the standard 20x80s found that the deluxe is much better made. Better eye relief, good mounting for a tripod that is more stable than the standard versions and better coating. For the money there a great buy.

These are wonderful binocs - very bright and clear to the edge. I sold a pair of Orion 9x63's to get these. The Orions produced quite distorted images, especially in the day, but the Celestrons are near perfect as far as I can tell.

Images are great to the field! Needs a tripod due to weight though. They could have provided more focusing room though as it is pretty tight. But i am alwalys able to achieve focus and the images are great. I would recommend it tremendously-especially for the price.

I could see fainter nebulae with the Celestron 20x80 DLX
than the better-constructed Fujinon 16x70 FMT-SX. An
example where 80mm aperture wins, even if the quality
is not Fujinon. I thought the center sharpness was good,
but the field edge sharpness was only fair and somewhat
disappointing.
