Description:Canon's first fully waterproof model in their very successful Image Stabilized line of binoculars. The high quality L series optics, featuring 2 Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lens elements (on each side), deliver excellent correction for chromatic aberration. With a large lens diameter and a 4.2mm exit pupil diameter, this binocular provides an exceptionally bright view, even in low-light conditions.

Canon 10x42 L IS WP
Excellent brightness for this range optic. Lowlight use is especially good in field and forest. IS is worth the money, especially when you have been spending a lot of time hiking and moving and you are not as steady as you are when fresh first thing in the morning.

Well worth the investment if you are serious. The IS combined with the good glass makes finding your subject in wooded areas much easier.

Canon 10x42 L IS WP
Superb optics, provides tack sharp and very bright images, in a manageable package, rubber coated and waterproof.
The best full size consumer binocular currently available, in my view, despite clunky styling, poorly designed lens caps,
a case that is too small to hold the binoculars with their strap
and an awkwardly located IS on/off switch.

Canon 10x42 L IS WP
Excellent optics and the stabilization works very well. Physically large and somewhat heavy when compared to conventional binoculars, though. For astronomy, they are the best I've used, and that includes some very high end instruments from well-known manufacturers. A nice wide field of view and surprisingly bright images from a modest 42mm aperture. Outstanding edge sharpness.

Well done, Canon!
