I purchased one of the BW Bino's and I was quite impressed. For $500 you get a great pair of binos. The clear aperture (22mm). The lack of low mag barlow limits their Deep sky use, but for planets and some DSO you can't go wrong. Except for the limitation mentioned above I can't find anything else wrong with these units.

With the advent of low powers barlows now available for this unit it is also deep sky worthy to say the least.

I have owned both the BW Optik and Lumicon versions which are essentially the same. It has very good build quality and the optical effect of using two eyes is fantastic. Highly recommended.
