Burgess SWA 32mm
For just $80 this is one fine eyepiece! With a 2" barrel and 72° FOV you will feel like you are floating through outer space. I expected a little field curvature, but the views are surprisingly very flat. Edge to edge in my XT10i the stars remain sharp. Excellent piece for wide scan views of open clusters. It is also a nifty tool for star hopping to find objects. I haven’t had a chance to try large faint nebulas yet due to light pollution, but I am looking forward to taking the scope to dark skies to give it a try soon. The eyepiece dust caps that came with the piece are very disappointing, very loose and slips off easily. Each cap is hollowed out on both sides, probably cheaply made to fit different size burgess eyepieces. Oh no, it appears that Burgess has discontinued this eyepiece, BS 06/27/06.
