I won't dub this thing as a "piece of crap," because there are a LOT of pieces of crap out there among "animes." Having said that, this thing is vastly inferior to BGCrisis in almost every single aspect. Animation? Bad. Music? Worse. Structure? Childish at best.

(One poster mentioned the "direction" in the plot of Crash! as opposed to the "lack" of direction in the original OAVs. Well, THIS is the real difference: Individually viewed, each BGCrisis OAV is a wonderful, coherent piece with great OP & ED music. Each Crash! OAV, when individually viewed, for the lack of a term, is a piece of crap.)

Just because I like Sonoda Kenichi and the original Knight Sabres and their seiyuus (as opposed to the ones in the atrocity called BGC Tokyo 2040) I will give a generous 5.

Well, this series started out crappy with the first episode, but then got a little better with episodes 2 and 3. It was kinda cool how the sub-plots worked up to the main ending with Largo, but episode 3 ended just too quickly. On the animation side, episode 1 is the crappiest animation from the early 90's I've seen (I especially liked the part where the wine glass that Priss is holding changes shape and wiggles as she talks). Episodes 2 and 3 are at least up to a standard level. The AD Police are as incompetent as ever, and Priss is just as selfish as ever. None of the music is really that memorable as it was in the original Crisis series. Favourite part: When Priss has just been injured with blades thru her arms and legs, Linna comes to her side and says "Are you all right?"--Classic cheese dialogue at it's best. Episode 1 gets a 3, 2 and 3 get 6, overall 5. By the way, if you do watch this series, make sure you watch the subtitled version. The dub is horrific (surprise, surprise).

I liked BGCrash. The answer to your questions...no, its not as good as BGCrisis. However, the animation in Crash is much more consistent than in Crisis. (the animation in Crisis was very poor is some parts and excellent in others, falling somewhere in the middle most of the time...Crash was consistently slightly-better-than-average all throughout) As a continuation to Crisis, Crash does a passable, though somewhat dissapointing job. As a stand alone, Crash is pretty damn good. As far as my favorite Crisis/Crash episodes are, Crisis Ep 5/6 Crisis ep3 and Crash ep2. The music in Crash, despite reports to the contrary, was actually pretty good. If you are a fan of BGCrisis, watch this show...don't let the naysayers scare you away...it at least brings closure to an otherwise incomplete incredible series.

It may not be as good as its predecessor, but it beats the hell out of most anime I've seen recently. There are also subthemes that have been widely ignored by most of the audience. Adama is cool if you look beyond his lame mechanical design and consider the potential behind him.

I often prefer to view BGC and BGC! as one series as BGC! is the uncompleted last 5 eps of BGC thrown into 3 BGC!.

Loved the intro song of BGC! and Sylias opening monologue (I dont know why but I love opening monolgues.)

Now I didnt like the Hardsuit designs as much in BGC! But the last ep was very very cool.

August and we can finally see BGC2040!

The anime isn't superb but it has its moments of greatness, especially in episodes two and three when Sylia's past and the status of the Boomers are explored. The only huge problem I have is that some of the characters' personalities have been altered pretty drastically. Since when does Priss hate Boomers or Linna obsess over money or Nene get drunk and strip? God... But aside from that this anime isn't too shabby. The animation and music are a bit of a letdown, though.

This so so but quite violent as is.
I dont believe in robot killing people.

There are alot of robot and lot of people too hehe
I guess I can c why they fighting each other like crazy
one mixed up anime.
what I dispies most is people with crazy imagination and
this is one of it.
Ok so it got a lot of action but um why do I feel so sad in the end.
