Bresser Quasar
Good beginner's telescope. Has reasonable optics but the eyepieces supplied are cheap junk. The EQ-2 mount is just about adequate for this scope and if bumped, settles down in a few seconds. I feel that this scope like many others would benefit hugely from the inclusion of a single generic 20mm Plossl eyepiece rather than the ones supplied. The general build quality is good for the price and the OTA is properly baffled and fitted with a good focuser (cast alloy) which has become silky smooth in use. The supplied barlow (cheap plastic type) is also junk. I believe these scopes are made by Synta. I would have given this scope a considerably higher if the manufacturers had supplied a decent 20mm plossl instead of the collection of junk that came with it.

Supplying accessories of such poor quality with scopes that have a reasonable performance does the manufacturer no favours.
