The biggest problem, ws finding them first in Lakecity, it wasn't easy. As for price they were ok but nothing big deal and to make me want to drive back there again. My son did find some games which made him happy but he can find them for the same price and closer to home then them.

I bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop (M35-S320) from store #276 on Saturday, April 3, 2004. First of all I chose to go to that store because the staff at the store closest to me, store #493, were rude to me and not helpful when I visited the day before. I would not have gone to the stores at all, and would have bought off of bestbuy.com, except that the website does not allow the use of the gift card. My business gave me $2000 in gift cards to purchase a new computer from BestBuy. I had no other alternative but to go to a store. Secondly, I wanted to buy a Sony Vaio z1wa or z1va, but none of the stores in the Northern Virginia area carried them. When I called on Monday of last week I was told it was in stock at store #493, and when I went there on the following Friday, I was told it was no longer available. So I had to research again, and change my choice to the Toshiba. My experience at the Pentagon City Store was even worse. The sales rep, Howard, placed excessive pressure on me to get the 3 year warranty. My friend, a software engineer, was with me at the time and encouraged me not to get it. I joked with Howard that my friend could fix my computer if anything went wrong with it, but Howard became defensive and started to challenge my friend's ability to do so. He asked him "Do you know how much it costs to replace an Intel Centrino battery? Well if you don't then you shouldn't be giving this lady such bad advice." I felt the sales associate was completely inappropriate, and left me and my friend feeling attacked for opting out of the warranty. Upon checkout, I told a customer service manager Curtis of my experience. He listened, but did nothing to assist me or make the situation better. I am very dissatisfied with my BestBuy experience, will not buy from the store again, and will encourage everyone I know not to shop there either.

My experience with Best Buy left me with the feeling that they are more concerned with keeping their in store return/exchange policy than in their customer satisfaction. I purchased a flat big screen TV that apparently has a defective picture tube that surfaced approximately six weeks, after their 30 day return policy, after purchase date. They wouldn't exchange it even after I offered to purchase a different brand and more expensive set. I will NEVER shop at Best Buy for anything again!

I purchased a Sony Receiver from Best Buy one year ago, I started getting the primary sound out of the front left speaker rather than the center speaker. I have a 4 year PSP and brought it back two weeks ago. My fiancee went to pick it up and they said there was nothing wrong with it and I installed it incorrectly, AND because there was nothing wrong they were going to charge me $25 for shipping. AM I MISSING SOMETHING? The customer service representative told me because of the holidays, that they are not doing in house checks, did NOT tell me anything about shipping charges, yet I am not sure if they even cleaned it which is part of the PSP. What can you do, Circuit City is no better: brought a 12 disc CD changer in 4 times because it did not work and they never replaced with new. Now the warranty is expired...

On May 26th I ordered 4 DVD's from BestBuy.com to have them shipped to my home. The web site listed shipment for 3 within 24 hours and the forth was Harry Potter pre-order. It is now June 10th and I still don't have my DVD's. It looks like they were finally shipped on June 6th after 3 calls and 2 emails. If your wondering their policy states that they will not wait on a pre-order to ship the rest of your order... I ordered 2 DVD's from DVD Empire at 12:35am this morning and recieved shipment confirmation at 10:54am this morning. Best Buy should stick to Brick and Mortar and leave online sales to the professionals.

I BOUGHT A PRINTER AT BESTBUY IN 2000 AND THOUGHT I HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE PRINTER AND I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE PRINTER AND THEY REFUSED TO HONOR IT BECAUSE THEY SAID I DID NOT PAY FOR IT ON THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT BUT I HAD THE PAPER TELLING ME WHAT MY BENEFITS WERE IF I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE PRINTER THE GIRL IN THE DAYTONA FLORIDA STORE GAVE ME SUCH A HARD TIME I ASKED HER WHY WOULD I PUT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON A COMPUTER AND A MONITOR BUT NOT ON A PRINTER AND SHE REPLIED THAT SOMETIMES THEY GIVE THEM OUT HOPING PEOPLE WOULD CHANGE THEIR MINDS NOW WITH SPENDING 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS AND PUTTING THE WARRANTY ON THE OTHER TWO PRODUCTS WOULD I NOT PUT IT ON THE THIRD,THEN I RECEIVED A CALL FROM HEATHER JORDAN AT BESTBUY CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS SHE SPOKE SO FAST THAT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HER SO I STILL HAVE NOT RESOLVED THIS PROBLEM. If I want high shipping - I'll go to Amazon. At least they have electronic coupons you can use.

I know alot of people have complaints about best buy and maybe i should have the one of the biggest complaint (being late 3 time in 2 years gets you fired) but as i see it it tends to be in areas the biggest problem areas being in florida, texas, and pensilvania. I am in minnesota and since selling computers during my time there i had seen it all. I had people act extreamly happy and other leaving screaming they want to file a laysuit. As much as it angered me that they did that they will still have my business and to anyone that had a bad experience I am sorry you fell that way but you really should give them another chance... Everyone has a bad day now and again and for a sales accociate that is inexcusible and should not be tolerated. Sales people are expected to leave their personal lives at the door and do their job!!! So far as I count I have found roughly 700 bad reviews about best buy + the ammount not on the internet= 1000+ a day but when you figure how much business best buy does it is rougly 12,000+ people in a district a day (District is 8 Stores) Take that by the 39 Districts in 8 regions your looking at 468,000 Customers a day that 467,000 Happy customers leaving each and every day. So I guess what I am getting at is that I got along with most every person that I worked with. Except the GM who i found to be an overbarring pompus A$$. Other than that I got along with everyone and I hope that if your a digrunteled Best Buy Customer to give them a second chance.

I AGREE WITH THE REST OF THE CUSTOMERS WHO LEFT COMMENTS. BESTBUY IS NOT THE "BEST" PLACE TO BUY THINGS. I RECENTLY MADE A 45MIN. TRIP TO BESTBUY IN ORLAND PARK IL. TO PURCHASE RADAR DETECTERS. ALTHOUGH I WAS GREETED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND HELPED PRETTY WELL, I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE STORES CHECK APPROVAL POLICY. THEY DID NOT EXCEPT MY CHECK FOR WHATEVER REASON, EVENTHOUGH I HAD ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY 10 BIG SCREEN TV's. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT A HAPPY SHOPPER. MAYBE IT WAS MY AGE, OR MY CHECK NUMER(I ONLY KEEP 500 CHECKS AT A TIME)BUT STILL IN ALL, I WAS ABLE TO BUY THOSE PRODUCTS.SO THEY GAVE ME SOME CARD TO CALL TO FIND OUT WHY THEY WOULD NOT TAKE MY CHECK. SO I PICKED UP MY CELL PHONE AND DIALED THE NUMBER AND THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME A STRIGHT ANSWER. SO I HAD TO GO 45MIN. BACK HOME AND WAIT TILL THE NEXT DAY TO GO TO MY BANK AND GET THE MONEY AND THEN GO 45MIN. BACK UP TO THE STORE AND PURCHASE MY SELECTION. AND ON TOP OF THAT I SENT IN THE $40 MONEY BACK THING AND STILL TO THIS DAY JULY 4th, ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER, GUESS WHAT, NO MONEY. SO I WOULD NOT SHOP AT BESTBUY TO OFTEN.

I must say I have read the reviews and most were not good. I would hope some bigshot at Best Buy corporate will do something about this. I however have a good review for the most part. I bought two different scanners and had problems installing them. The return department, although swamped with whining mothers and crying kids, was very considerate and understanding. I would rate their department the best in the store. However the PC department personel were not very helpful or knowledgable for that matter. Best Buy should start checking in to who they hire.
