Description:Just wanted to write and pull the cover on a tactic used by this company to disservice their customers. The Disney corporation keeps problems from occuring it their themeparks by immediately replacing and reassigning employees that have any negative interaction with the customers. Beaverhomes practices a similar method. However, their method is used to confuse and create problems with what they promises. This works by having people deal with one person only for a period of time. My guy was Sean. Sean promised me the world. Shipping dates, empty promised, refunds, "don't worry" none of which I ever received. After a time. when I called someone else answered. "Sean, oh, we had to fire him, and now we are attempting to resolve all the problems he created for our company". "We will try to resolve all the false promises he made as quickly as possible". "Yes, this will take some time". "Refund, well that is done on the (add twenty-nine days to whatever day of the month you call, 27 for February) and then it takes up to 60 days to process". Recently, I went to the IBC websight and read a complaint they had on file. I was surprised that the same thing had happened to this person, only the employee had a different name. Out of curiosity I called their 800# and they must have forgiven Sean, because he is back in action.

Fraudelent and deceptive business practices, Plain and Simple. Some people may receive a beautiful floor. However I don't think it is worth the risk. Many, many trusting consumers ordered and paid in full up front for instock hardwood flooring. After months and months of emails and phone calls promising delivery, nothing received. I mean nothing, no floor, no refund. The DA in NY brought them to court several times. The last time, they got $500,000 , settling on 83 cents on the dollar to consumers who have been screwed. However,, this was not enough. another $270,00o is needed. Check out the BBB in NY and GA. Check out www.ripoffreport.com and www.bobvila.com for horror stories. No floor is worth this risk. You can sue Neal Martin and his son, Cole, under the racketeering act (RICO) and get treble damages.

A recent victim of these two hucksters sued Neal and Cole Martin in the Georgia court system and won. She received a cashiers check for her full restitution.(approx $8,000.00) Both Neal and Cole were in court. While doing some research, she found out that Neal and Cole plead guilty to wire fraud in the NY Western District Court which nobody seemed to know about.

Neal and Cole are due to be sentenced on 3-24-05. Anyone who lives in the Buffalo NY might want to go!! Both Martins should receive some jail time for this.

One of their victims went after them under the RICO act, which allows you to sue for triple damages as well as triple attorney fees.

Cole is working at the Mall of Georgia. He lives in Gainesville, GA. Last known address:

1305 Calvery Church Rd.
Gainesvulle GA 30507

He moved there in Jan. 2004. He was previously at 1635 B. Calvery Church Rd. in Gainesville GA. That time was sometime around May 2003 to Jan 2004. Prior to that he was at a Suwannee, GA location.

He did file a Chapter 13 in Jan. 2002 in the US Bankruptcy court in Gainesville. Docket # 0430003. Perhaps he will have to sell his Black Cadillac Escalade.

He lives in a million dollar home on Lake Lanier. However, what a surprise, he screwed his contractor out of a lot of money. Well over $50,000.00.

One other interesting note, he supposedly hires work release prison inmates.

A woman who was involved in a dealing with Peter Fishman claims she was swindled out of $175,000 and that Fishman is being investigated by the State of Georgia as well. There's a connection with Fishman and one of Neal's lawyers - Lenny Franco.

If you were taken by any of these fraud artists, sue the living hell out of them!

These folks will take your money and not deliver product. Don't ever expect to see your money again or your product. These are very bad beavers.

I had ordered some Brazilian cherry flooring from Beaverhome, and was told delivery wood be about 8 weeks. At the 7 week mark I called to find out when I would get delivery of my flooring, and was told there was a delay in transport from brazil and it may be a few weeks more. Than I started surfing the net to see what Beaverhome was all about and read these pages and got really scared. I lucked out and recieved shipment arround the 9th week. My installer was amazed at the beauty of this Brazillian cherry and I am amazed that the story ended so great. I love my hardwood floor and all I payed way $3.99 a foot. I can relax now and enjoy my home!!

I too had ordered some Brazilian cherry flooring from Beaverhome. And I did get my first shipment after 6 months of badgering them. I also had the advantage of living near their warehouse, so I sent my contractor to pick the wood up. A majority of the flooring was crap, 50% of it had to be culled out and returned. I hear that they send these returned pieces to out of town customers. Anyway, after being installed for 2 months, the floor is now delaminating; I have the engineered Trinity version. Neal, the "the big beaver" says to tear it out at my expense, return it, and he will refund my money. Based upon their refund history, I don't believe that I would ever see the money.

Anyway, the beavers left town to find more suckers down south. I have not seen the rest of my wood or received a refund of my outstanding balance.

I am not by any means recommending this company but, some of you can rest assured that we did get our furniture and it is really really great quality. They say they manufacture this stuff in Canada - ours has an American Leather metal button on it (Texas) It took forever but was super cheap and blows Thomasville Quality away. It sucks such a nice website, such great furniture but such seedy service.e

Beaverhomes should be put out of business because they practice deceitful trade tactics, by not delivering products and not refunding money paid in advance for product. See New York state Attorney General's office web page for info on Beaverhomes.

I also didn't put unreasonable demands on the company to deliver, but have been HORRIDLY jerked around by this pathetic excuse for a company. Beware! Better Business Bureau now has an "unrecommended" rating against doing business with these people, and for good reason.

And yes, it's interesting that the only positive comments about Beaverhome have all come from the same person living in Buffalo ... hmmm ... Neil?? I've never dealt with such a shady company before.

As I read through previous customer's experiences it was a major deja vu experience. We ordered leather furniture from Beaverhomes a year ago, then fought with them for 4 months over missed delivery dates and broken promises until we decided to cancel the order. Then another several months of trying to track down the elusive Neil, the presumed owner, who had to approve the refund. We finally got the charges reversed by our credit card company.

A final follow-up with the Better Business Bureau let us know that Beaverhome had reported to them that they had resolved our complaint to "the customer's satisfaction". Interesting concept of customer satisfaction - they took thousands of dollars of our money, used it for 7 months, gave us nothing in return, and we only got our money back because our credit card company intervened. I wonder what it takes to be considered a "dissatisfied" customer!

I placed my very first order with Beaverhome.com on April 1st of this year. Was told that my leather sofa, chair, ottoman, and tables would take about 8 weeks for deliver. When that time passed, I called customer service. Apparently they only have one person in customer service, and he has to pass all questions on status of orders to Neil. I was told by Neil that no one should have ever told me 8 weeks for delivery as it takes at least 12 weeks for leather furniture. Neil also said I should have delivery by first week of August. Well, here it is the end of the 3rd week of August, and again, nothing. So, now I'll have to contact them again to hear what the latest excuse is. The scary thing is how many complaints I've read about them doing the same kind of stalling tactics ... apparently the New York BBB has numerous complaints about Beaverhome. Wish I had checked that BBB out first. Live and learn.

Worst company I've ever dealt with. My story is the same as previous customers. No product, no refund. They have my money and I have nothing.
