Audio Excellence
In late Sept 2002, I wanted to buy a Sony STR-DA2ES and Energy Take 5.2 satellite spealkers and a Energy S8.2 sub. I was annoyed that all the dealers either gave no discount or extremly small. I was looking for another option on web. Warnings on Energy's website and Sony's made me hesitate.

Then I found AVBDirect.com. I had trouble getting info on them. I did search on their street addresss and found it had same street address as AudioExcellence.com. I called them they had same phone number. It seems they are different names for the same business. I did find some info on Audio Excellence on their website plus recommenbdations on Time Digital that was a few years old.

Since they had a street address, I originally considered driving to warehouse, but sales tax equalled shipping charges.

I placed order on credit card and received equiupment via ground (ny to nj) in 2 days. All equip,ment was doubleboxed as they advertised. Original manufacturer boxes were sealed and serial numbers on box equaled sn's on equipment. All warranties were there (ES had 5 year!) and owner manuals in english etc.. I saved over $400 doing over web.

I had called Energy in canada and they directed me to their rep in nj. They recommended I not buy from them as they were not autorized dealer. Energy told me they were trying to ffigure out which authorized dealer they were getting equipment from.

Best decision I ever made. I saved over $400. Including a extra pair of take 2.2 speakers, shipping etc. order was $1445.

These guys were great to deal with: friendly, helpful, and straightforward. They even got me a great deal on an Onkyo receiver they don't normally carry when I asked.

Audio Excellence
I've made two separate orders from them in the last week: first, a Yamaha RX-V995 receiver and Energy Take 5 speakers, and second, speaker stands for the Take 5s. The first delivery was promised in 2 days, and it showed up early in 1 day. The second delivery took 2 days. Both shipments were double boxed, and I've had no problems with anything. Highly recommended.

I just purchased a Sony DVP-S3000 at a great price. Service was pretty good. Shipped via UPS ground, arrived right on time.
