Astrovisioneer 90mm
I purchased the scope used (OTA only)and it was in good condition
Dont even think about useing this scope for even a first scope. The optics are really bad and have about 1/2 the light gathering ability you would expect of even a scope of this type and size. The image shift when focusing is the worst I have ever seen.I bought it for a spotter guider and it is not even suitable for that.I gave it and a tripod to my 7 yr old grandson.......A true piece of cr--

Astrovisioneer 90mm
Purchased OTA only. I machined a plate to adapt it to a small equitorial mount. I took it out without allowing it cool off. I first took a look at Saturn. The first thing I noticed was the clarity of the image at 45 power, using my Meade 26mm Super Plossl. The rings looked sharp, even with little time to come to ambient temperature. Next, I tried a TeleVue 15mm plossl, giving it 78 power. This provided a view that was still clear and well defined. Using a 2x barlow lens, I pushed it to 90x. The image was still acceptable, however not as well defined. Just for fun, I decided to push it to 156 power. This was too much to expect from the little guy. I am very happy with it. This scope will work wonderfully as a spotting, guide scope, or as a stand alone travel or hiking scope.
