Antares Speers-Waler 14mm
Great optics. I own a 8 inch dob and a 5 inch mak. Eyepieces work great in both. Unlike other reviews that I have read, I have not seen any dust problems nor many problems as far as astigmatism is concerned. Views of the moon and planets are fantastic. Deep sky objects look great also. In my judgement you can't get more for the price.

Great eyepiece! I use this one more than any other in my collection. Vews are extremely contrasty and sharp to the edge. I get a lot of oos and ahs from people who look thru at such objects as the orion nebula and open clusters such as M35. My only prblem with it is that there was a lot of internal dust. I bought it used, so i don't know if it had been taken apart or not (hence the 9 rating) though i wound up cleaning it out myself (very carefully). Now it is nearly perfect, gives outstanding wf views of the moon, and does great with planets. I don't recommend barlowing it, because it is an 8 element ep, and barlowing will reduce contrast and introduce ghost images.
