Antares 1.6x Barlow
This is one very nice 2" 1.6 barlow. Very good construction and a fine Japanese optic. I like it's short length and relatively light weight for a 2" barlow. Works very well with my 2" erfles at correcting edge of field distortion and allowing for a tighter sharper field of view with still lots of comforable eye relief. Well baffled with no vignetting and the barlow edge element is fully blackened. Great quality for the what I paid {116.00 Can.}.

Antares 1.6x Barlow
This 2" shorty barlow is as good as any top of the line premium barlow I've had the pleasure to try (and ever since 1982 I've tried a good many of them, including the 1.25" and 2" Powermates). But it has other tremendous advantages as well, such as being able to be inserted into a Visual Paracorr without hitting the elements, due to being so incredibly short overall. It is also incredibly light weight for a 2" barlow, and it's very well made and attractive to boot. It's huge 41mm clear aperture is also larger than most other 2" barlows.

Antares 1.6x Barlow
Nice bright barlow, no noticeable chromatic aberation, a modest increase in power with little in the way of side effects, retains contrast and no stray reflections. They can be found new for less. Works pretty well with a 2.5 powermate to provide a clean looking 4x.

Antares 1.6x Barlow

A nice barlow, bright with no chromatic aberations. Sharp images and good contrast. I have a 2.5x powermate, but have kept and use this one also for those situations where 2.5 is too much or I want a little less glass in the path.
