Description:Suzuhara Misaki is a middle school girl who moves in with her aunt in Tokyo to attend a new school. She's short and not very athletic, traits that led her to perpetual self-doubt. A strange man named Icchan introduces Misaki to the world of Angelic Layer, a sport that involves controlling robotic fighters dubbed Angels on a stage called a Layer. Misaki seems to be a natural for a rookie, but will her insecurity be her downfall come tournament time?

Angelic Layer
Angelic Layer, where everyone makes a doll, and fights in an electronic world. Actually, the way they displayed it, it turns out to be quite an original anime. Definite highs were the cool action scenes, good fights, and decent character development. Definite downs were the easy predictability of it, down to the very end, and the animation in some places not being quite up to par.

Animation - 8 - Definite credit has to be given to the smoothness and easy flowing fight scenes. However, there are a lot of repeat animation scenes. Just how many time do we have to watch Hikaru fall into the layer anyway?? Despite that, the animation is of good quality that anyone would appreciate.

Plot - 7 - PREDICTABLE!!! Geez, a miracle rookie, is she gonna win? Miskicki's love interests, I wonder what will happen??? Ugh, the plot also kind of turned into fight of the week type of episode, but it did keep some meat in other areas.

Humor - 8 - A very funny anime in my opinion. Since the anime brought good character development, it is easy to draw into the characters and be amused by them. Gotta love the choke holds.

Sound Track - 8- I really liked the two closing songs that were presented in this anime. The opening song is ok too, but I have seen better on other anime. Better than average sound track.

Overall a splendid anime to watch. This one is very good for kids too. The violence is bloodless, and children will get much of the humor as well as rooting for Hikaru. It is funny though, I wonder just how long it will be till we can all buy Hikaru?

love how The doll moves by thoughts of Its controller. I hope that we have the same technologies in the future
