Dumbbell Nebula
The best planetary nebula in the sky. Bright, the most promenent pn, an easily identifiable disk at 50mm aperture and above.

Though not quite as easy to find as the Ring Nebula or as large or "bright"* as the Helix Nebula, the Dumbell is the most rewarding to see, even under urban skies.

*Though the Helix is the largest, closest, and in terms of total_integrated_magnetude the "brightest", its surface brightness makes for a difficult object that requires dark skies to see at all.

Dumbbell Nebula
A great object to share with others. Viewable with small and large telescopes. Is visible a great portion of the year. Easy to photograph.

Dumbbell Nebula
looks nice in an 8"newt with 15mm wa eyepiece.Quite large and brite even in my backyard in Las Vegas.Use your pollution filter for better contrast.
