I purchased Baader Solar film from them and found the woman I spoke with to be courteous and professional. If I'm ever able to I would not hesitate to get on their waiting list for a 155.

I agree that they make some of the best refractor's and mounts out on the market today. Their Idea of keeping the customer waiting with no idea when you will recieve your product is a little bizarre.
I would appreicate it they could let us know where we are on the list and an estimated time of arrival, but they like to keep everything so secret.

Received "world class" service when asking their tech assist about using Digital Sky Voice on my Losmandy mount. Losmandy was on their factory wide vacation for 2 weeks and A-P followed up and returned me an answer the day they returned. I hadn't even purchased their product yet! Earlier I had purchased some Baader SolarFilm from A-P. It's an incredible product at a very low price. I don't own one of their scopes but they make every aspect of their waitlists very clear.

This company is world famous for its high quality refractors and equatorial mounts. Too bad they can't seem to figure out what customer service is all about. The only way to purchase anything other than a minor accessory is through a wait-list process. There is no guarantee of when, or even if, your order will ever be processed. No status reports, no feedback, nothing. You just wait, and wait, and wait...

I got tired of waiting and bought my APO refractor from another company. Something tells me that the folks at Astrophysics probably think that is just fine.
