I've purchased 2 items from Stellarvue a F50 finder, and an F80 finder. I returned the F50 because It wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Vic Marris refunded my payment with absolutely no hassle. Later on I purchased the F80 and fell in love with it. From what I've seen the craftmanship is excellent, Both Vic and his staff are very friendly and communication was excellent. If I ever decide to purchase a refractor, Stellarvue will be strongly considered.

I've had some customer service and defective product issues with Stellarvue in the past, though I've retracted my somewhat low rating because I believe it is no longer valid. Stellarvue was in the middle of moving to a new facility when I gave them the low rating. I don't believe it is an accurate representation of how business usually goes with them. The only transaction I've had with them since then went very smoothly and my order arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

I agree. Some of the best service I've seen in astronomy (or anywhere for that matter). Perhaps the best I've seen in astronomy. Some of the prices of his accessories are not as good as other places, so check around if you want the best price.

Another happy customer. Ordered an 80mm AT1010, had a few questions. Vic emailed me back with good answers to everything the next morning... nice to talk to someone who really knows the products.

Ordered the scope from Canada -- it arrived promptly and went through customs with no problems. It showed up at the post office although Vic had recommended UPS expedited -- but when I checked the invoice I had been properly charged for US post (in fact I was charged $26 and the postage meter read $31). No problem there.

One of the reasons I ordered from Stellarvue was that the scope **would** be crossing a border, so ordering a "cheap Chinese refractor" and sending it back if the quality was substandard wasn't really an option. Stellarvue does enough additional testing to make sure that everything goes out the door in great shape, which IMHO is worth the extra cost without question.

Scope showed up a few days ago, VERY impressed with the design and quality. My "first light" posting on the Stellarvue group had a lot of words like "WOW".

Highly recommended in terms of both product and company.

I ordered a pair of binoculars from Vic Maris, and decided after trying them out several week to return them. I e-mailed Mr. Maris and he said if I was not satisfied for any reason he would refund the purchase price no questions. So, I sent the binos back within a couple days of the 30 day guarantee, and a couple weeks later my card was credited the full price. After that experience I decided to order his 102D scope as I know if I have a problem with it he will honor his guarantee. Great service.

Vic promised a scope I would be happy with and he was right. My AT1010 has the build quality of a premium APO and an optical quality that surpasses many ED and "Semi-APO" scopes this size. Vic really understands customer service and made me feel he was custom building my scope just for me. I've owned a number of scopes of all types over the years and am more satisfied with the total customer experience of quality, customer service and value than other scope or supplier.
