We at UFOptics make every effort to focus on the needs and expectations of our customers, many of whom have found themselves lost in the confusing "black hole" of inadequate, overly jargonized and often misleading information available in the optics media. With over 4 decades of experience in the field of amateur astronomy and optics in general, we feel that with a little shared knowledge practically anyone can begin immediately to realize the joy that the "right" equipment can provide.
At the same time, we readily admit that there are as many opinions regarding optical equipment and the pursuit of the heavens as there are stars in the sky. Amateur astronomers, for instance, are generally very well-informed, and most trust their own experience and instincts when choosing their equipment. They are a demanding breed, and rightfully so.
In many cases, however, there are a number of options available to our customers, many of whom are "Rookies" and appreciate anything that will provide a better understanding of amateur astronomy. So we try to base suggestions upon a balance of what the customer wants to achieve and what their budget allows. We have a small fleet of optical instruments which bear the UFOptics name, but again we know that until our own line grows, there are instruments and accessories bearing the name of other well-respected leaders in the industry that may well be the best choice. So we make other brands available to our customers, and we do our best to represent honestly every product we have in stock. We have made a tremendous effort to selectively build a product base to fit every need, and we have the greatest respect for those brands which we carry other than our own. Otherwise we could not in all honesty offer them to our customers and include them in our UFOptics Warranty coverage. We hope some day to have attained the level of respect that the venerable leaders in this industry have already earned, and we will continue to support the products which we feel carry the same level of quality and excellence which we aspire to maintain ourselves, regardless of the name they bear.

Orders may generally be placed via telephone between the hours of ( 9 - 5 ) Eastern Time Monday thru Friday. Orders will be taken during the same hours on weekends when personnel are available.
UFOptics accepts payment in the form of personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please add 4% upcharge to all credit card orders ( this 4% charge will not be applied to shipping & insurance charges - only to the purchase price of the product alone.
Payments must actually be credited to our bank prior to shipment. Some of the UFOptics products are special order items, a system which allows us to keep our pricing down, and shipment of these items requires 2 to 3 weeks depending upon our stock at the time of the order.
All products sold by UFOptics carry the UFOptics Limited 1 Year Warranty, based upon our interpretation of the industry standard.
All sales are final, and returns are accepted at the discretion of UFOptics. Items damaged in shipment will be replaced upon inspection and qualification through an appropriate shipping agent.
Returns of undamaged special order items will be levied a 15% restocking fee unless returned in exchange for an equal or higher priced item.
