TeleVue Plossl 20mm
Tried this the first time a few nights ago in my 8" f/6. Use is mainly with TV 3x barlow. Wow is about all I can say. At 183x much bading on the planet. Cassini was clearly black all the way around. On of the sharpest views I've ever seen.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
It is difficult to be anything but pleased with this EP. It came with my TV76 package and have to admit that Al Nagler made a very good call including this EP into the package. Very bright images with excellent sharpness noted. I find the stars sharp right out to the edge of field. Only 50 degree FOV, but for what this EP is, it is one of best Plossls you will find on the market. It is a simple, 4 element design, but gives maximum light throughput to really produce some fantastic images. Barlows fantastic with an Orion Shorty-Plus Barlow and gives incredible sharpness with a TeleVue Powermate

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
Picked up a used Televue 20mm and compaired it to the Meade SP 20mm I had at the time. The Televue was tack sharpe to the edge of the field of view. Its smaller and lighter so its easier on you and the scope. Cost atad more but what an eyepiece. I use the 20mm every time I use my LX-90 along with my 25mm Televue looking at DSO's and have never been disappointed. This is no Panatopic or Nagler but for the money I rate this eyepiece extremely high.
The best 20mm for the money in a plossl.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
A very good performer, but not quite at the top of its class.
The FOV was narrower that an older model TeleVue 21mm Plossl I
compared it to. Sharpness both on and off axis was about the same
as a Meade Series 4000 Super Plossl. A Orion Ultrascopic
of the same F.L. seemed to be slightly sharper on-axis.
Both the Meade and Ultrascopic seemed to have a slightly wider field.
The Televue plossl is often priced a tad higher than the other two.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
Used this eyepiece the other night for the first time and was really pleased with the view. Like all TV plossls, extremely sharp, great contrast. no false colors, no ghosting, and well made. I am a moon watcher, and in my Orion 5" Mak, this eyepiece provides about 80 power, perfect for viewing the surface without trying to dig deeply into the craters. The contrast was really exceptional. As plossls go, I am just about ready to convert to all TV and sell the rest. Generally available on the used market. Highly recommended.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
I do a lot of lunar observing and tend to compulsively jump around from one eyepiece to another trying to get a better view. This includes Siebert, TV, and UO glass of varying magnifications. I bought this TV 20mm the other day and had a very clear night last night for observing the moon. The TV 20mm was the medicine to cure my compulsive behavior. I have a 1540 focal lenght scope, so the 20mm gives me a nice medium power look at the moon in general but I was real impressed by its clarity and snap-in focus. It has generous eye relief providing a comfortable view. I left it in my scope as my default eyepiece. Highly recommended.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
This eyepiece is at the head of its class. Sharp bright images and the legendary Tele Vue finish make this one a keeper. Some will spend more to get a wider field or spend less hunting for similar performance but the TV Plossl 20 is a benchmark eyepiece.

As others have mentioned, this work horse eyepiece is often overlooked. It's clear, sharp and moderately priced. If you want to drop a load of money, by all means, go with the sexy lines. But if you care about what you see rather than what you see it with, you should give this unit a try.

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
This is almost a perfect eyepiece. The eye relief is just right and it is sharp and bright in the center. The only (minor) complaint I have is that it has some distortion giving the sky a curved appearance when sweeping.

P.S. Try this eyepiece with a barlow or powermate, you won't be disappointed!

TeleVue Plossl 20mm
This eyepiece came with my Tele Vue 101 and my Pronto. I have two. I should buy a binoviewer. The 20mm Plossl has a narrow field and not much magnification in the 101. Why use it? It marries the two worst compromises in one eyepiece. If you are looking for low magnification and a wide field in a small package, buy the Panoptic 19 or 15.
