1/12/03- Adorama appears to be no better than all of the rest of the bait and switch companies that troll the internet and photo magazines. I ordered a Cannon D60 digital camera kit. I got it. It came on time and for the price promised. But the problem was the salesman said the new kits from Cannon that just got in came included a battery grip and 2 batteries. That made the deal to good to pass up so I ordered one. I received the camera kit but no battery grip. I called and the salesman said it was his mistake and that the kit did not contain the battery grip after all. He said I could ship it back but they would not refund the cost of shipping which was $89.00. What a return policy. There admitted mistake but I have to pay to return the merchandise. Was the salesman an idiot and just did not bother to look in the box to verify what he was selling or was it a bait and switch? I don’t know but I’m pissed and will look for some other place to do business. So far Adorama has yet to step and fix the problem. I love the camera and the deal was OK even without the grip but this just chaps me. It’s not like I didn’t quiz him many times about the deal prior to ordering.
