I bought mine as a floor model for 2200.00 after 200.00 rebate. It works great and the picture is perfect. I can use it as a computer monitor running 1024x768 with a great picture. Note: I run the composit to the computer.

Had mine for 3 months, excellent quality! Has plenty of inputs, went from two switch boxes to none, would recommend to anyone. Dual tuner PIP works great, ou could watch TV and let the kids play games in a small window, would be nice if it had a headphone jack for the nonactive windows though.
Audio is very good, has Dolby Prologic, but lack digital or DTS, will probably get a receiver, would be great if they could build in.
I have yet to find out if there will be an optional interface for HDTV, there is a slot cover in the back, hopefully this will support in the future..

This is the absolute best rear projection television on the market. It has every necessary feature, including a built-in line doubler and component video input. Also it has the best GUI (Graphical User Interface) of any TV I have seen. This set completely blows away anything from Mitsubishi, Hitachi, and ProScan. The only monitor that comes close to it is the Pioneer Elite Pro-200. However, I prefer the Sony's onscreen display.

I went to a local store with a portable Tektronix Video Generator to finalize a decision based on side-by-side viewing, and this indeed is the BEST tv available. Some projection HDTV had horrible convergence, they should advertise 2400 lines of resolution, as you get three separate images, 800 lines for red, grren and blue :-)
I did see one that was better (perfect convergence all around), a Philips DTV, but that was $10,000. Maybe in another life... And it had visible dot crawling.
Only wish it had Dolby digital or 5.1 input at least.
TIP: best price was www.onecall.com ($3200 over the web, $2699 over the phone)
