Description:Same unit as TFM 42, but with analog meters instead of LED's.
Extremely powerful, smooth, and efficient.
Rated at 375 watts per channel with 3dB of headroom for 750 wpc peak!
Never runs hot, in fact it doesn't even have the ususal heat sinks!
Carver literature claims it is adjusted to sound like a tube amp.
Frequency response: +.5dB, -0, 20-20kHz
Bridged mono power is 1000 watts at 8 ohms.

Used units typically sell for $500 to $600 at auction.

I've got a pair of RS2 Infinitys made in the 80's that ohm out to less than 2 ohms and this amp has no problem and sounds better than the rest of the amps that died tryin. Runs warm at most have had 3 years still strong.

i haven't owned this amp long but it
sounds great and it does a good job
driving my amazing platium speakers.
and it wont get hot like most so called
high end power amplifiers.

Carver has put out one of the BEST sounding, most NATURAL sounding amplifier I've EVER heard, aside from a 25,000 dollar tube counterpart.

TFM-45 is that way to go for both power and value.

I'd highly recommend this amp!

I have always loved this amp since the firt day I purchased it new. It has tons of power and the sound quality is so rich and clean. It can cover the whole spectrum....

Great amp. Very good sound compared to newer Carver A500x. I am using the TFM-45 on my mains and (2) A500x's on the subs. You can pick them up used for around $500. I have not found an am this good for that price. . .

For It's age it will out perform a lot of newer amps that cost twice as much! To bad they don't make them anymore.
