I believe it's called the Octave 10. Either way, it won a Stereo Review shootout a year or two ago for "budget" subs, beating out a couple of 12"ers. I've had mine for over a year, paid $399, and have been very pleased. It shakes the walls in my HT setup in a living room about 25 x 15 in size with a 15' ceiling. My only gripe is that if the stereo is turned on and played at low levels, sometimes the sub doesn't get enough signal to cause the auto-on circuit to switch it on. This isn't really much of a problem because it's rare that the volume is that low anyway. Aside from that it's got an adjustable high-pass filter as well as amplitude adjustment, and it'll take in either pre-amp or speaker level signals. Both methods work well.

Inexpensive subwoofer with auto shutoff. Good bass down to 35 mHz. Great value at $350.
