Stands are optional but are highly recommended. Absolutely stunning clarity and accuracy. Bass is deep, responsive. Dipole surrounds create the most enveloping wide surround stage I have every heard. Build quality is outstanding and quite impressive looks yet do not dominate the room as do most wider speaker systems (slender cabinet improves/increaces wide horizontal dispersion). Identical to the Flagship System 450's minus the gloss finish and aluminum center tooling plate. Must goto AT site to read/view this system!!!!!!!!!!
