Can't beat it for the $ and a good match for my Onkyo 656, but:
1)go for the 10" sub
2)constantly changing the sub volume when listening to CD's--not a problem w/ movies

I Matched is HT System with TOSHIBA SD 2109 DVD Player And DENON AVR 3300. I never thought this small speaker sounds great, and even beyond my expectations and perceptions for all small speakers (sub/sat). Moving from one place to another place is easy because they are portable and I like small speakers because it fits my room. Anyway I used Energy XLS-10 instead of ES-8 for the subwoofer.

These speakers are great. I have not had a chance to try time in AC3 mode but prologic is awesome. Music could be a little better but what can you expect from such a small package/price. I paid 650.00 w/ ES-10.

For the price, $620, they're unbeatable. Small, unobtrusive, sleek, great sound.

Nice sound from such small speakers. Not crazy about the ES-8. Great value. Not as "crankable" as Klipsch Synergy 6 but still ballsy.

I got what I was looking for: a home-theater speaker system under $1000.
I upgraded the Sub to the ES-10 though :)
