Ohm F
These power hungry Walsh drivers are a unique experience. With no crossovers transitions are seamless. At volumwn you can still talk and understand. Bass response is below auditory as well as high end. They have a problem with sag on the magnet end. This is resolved by a skilled technician and reconing (usually the underlying issue anyway).

Ohm F
There is no loudspeaker as pure in it's design as the Ohm F. With no crossovers to introduce distortion and time delay, expect to hear the sweetest, smoothest sound you can imagine from a loudspeaker. To pick an experience, listening to pipe organ music, one gets the feeling that these speakers are alive and breathing. You truly feel the air moving through the organ, These are not speakers, they are musical instruments.

Ohm F
omnidirectional full range speaker with very smooth and seemless sound. for normal listening levels is a standard amp (80 watts RMS/4ohms) sufficient but should be stable for impedances smaller than 4 ohms. these pearls do not produce high levels and have to be driven sensitively. are able to produce substantial deep bass but must be driven with caution (synthesizer music !). frequency response varies from pair to pair (hand made). the common drop of the higher frequencies can be compensated by a equalizer with room analizer (if required). without the grills I find them very beautyful and impressive as the old pyramides. they can be reconed by experienced specialists. even the frequency response can be improved by better damping material inside the cone.since they are omnidirectional speakers they do require their position in your habitat. reflexions from the walls and furniture influence their ability to render the position of the instruments precisely. I have my pair ohm f's now 2 years and they were made around 1978. yes, they have been restored and they work well. one bad thing I must add: the workmanship of the wood is not good.
but all music sounds good with these marvels. for me they are true pieces of art.

Look for Consolidated Audio Technology web site; they can recon these speakers (including bad driver coils). I have one recon'd pair & am having a second pair done. They sound great.

Ohm F
Expensive but a beautiful room-filling sound unlike any other speaker I have heard. The stereo imaging is amazing. With good gear I can close my eyes and pick out the musicians and vocalists on stage. I can hear the singer smile while singing. Require a good amp with 200 watts of power for good volume.
