Wow, I work at Radioshack in Halifax, Canada and we used to carry this for about $180... but with the Optimus name instead of RCA :P
Anyways, I managed to get about 4 of them and 2 of the LX 5 II's when they were going out for about $40 a piece... awesome surround speakers. I gave the LX 5 II's to my parents for their surround system and they were very happy... I have the 550's on my 7.1 system and are by far the best bookshelf - surround speaker I have ever had. I believe radioshacks product number was 40-5037.

I record Pro level music and use this as my monitors!!!

All my music friends laugh, until they hear them for the first time!!!!!

Pretty darn funny if you ask me!

I use them in my Home theatre system as well and have the matching Center channel speaker and IT ROCKS!!!

RCA PRO-LX550
Superb quality for the price: think about it: Lineum tweeter and Kevlar driver for $160 canadian money!!! This speaker is a marvel to replace micro hifi systems! You will find now what is music at his best for your money, and even better than pricier but less sophisticated models. Speed, transperency and musicality have been improved vastly over the two previous models (LX-5 and LX-55, if I remeber correctly).
