Clear and accurate are the best words I can use to describe these speakers. After demo-ing dozens of different speakers in the price range for almost two months, nothing else provided cleaner vocals. My motto: as long as the speakers are clear and clean, it doesn't matter what music you listen to--it will sound good. These don't disappoint. I eventually mated them with an HSU 1225HO subwoofer (a great combo, BTW), since during an eye-watering high volume jamming session, I finally managed to clip them. Still, price/performance makes them an amazing buy! They look very classy too.

After testing just about every tower speaker in this price range, the P5 sounded like no other. The imaging of this speaker is remarkable. The P5's seperate the music from the vocals like no other speaker in its price range. Since I listen to a wide variety of music, (Led Zepp, The Roots, DMB, Stevie Wonder, etc.), I needed a speaker that would play all of these well, and this speaker did that. I later added an NHT powered sub to enhance the bass for my rap music. This addition not only made a Tribe Called Quest sound wonderful, but I've found alot of hidden bass in some of Sting's music. Overall, the B&W P5 is a great speaker, but if more bass is needed, I suggest adding a sub.
