Description:Anyone have any comments on the Nakamichi DVD-10 ? I haven't tried it yet, but I'm starting to shop around for a DVD that excels in movies and audio CDs.

I bought is because it was on sale. Excellent sound, for a DVD player. I have no returned it as it was saying no disk when any disk was put in. Has been getting progressively worse. a.scott@clear.net.nz

2 y.o. and have playback problems.Told me new laser over $500.Very disatisfied with the player and the local distibutor in greece.As it lasts was playinback nice.
I have bought it $980 and after a 1.5 year start playback problems and more.
Do not buy any Nakamichi dvd player!

3.5 years old and needs a new laser @ $650.00NZ to repair.
Will not play some DVD's zone 4 (the matrix) but will play "the matrix"US version. Purchase price NZ$1800.00

Beautiful picture, and amazing sound. Sleek design c/w many features.
Only problem is slow read times and some freezing.
new model DVD-10s solves these problems.

Nothing in the world compares to the DVD-10 player. If you are truely after the best video AND audio from a DVD player, and not after bells and whistles, this is the only DVD player under $1,000 I can recommend. I have seen players from JVC, SONY, and Panasonic, and while they are quite good, the clarity and the sharpness of the Nakamichi put them to shame. Add this to a Nakamichi A/V Receiver and you will be truely awed.

Nakamichi DVD-10
I've got this player for a bargain of 650$ in a multi-region version.
...But as I opened the package and hooked it up I came o realize that it doesn't work. I returned the player to its package and returned it to the store. So now I'm waiting for a new player.
I've already read that this player has reliability problem, so always check on its warranty before you buy it.
Anayway it suppose to be a very good dvd player, and when I'll know it from first source I'll write again

IF you go to the nakamichi website it has tons of info on the Nakamichi DD-10 DVD player.

It retails in Chicago for $750.
