Panasonic DVD-RP56

Unfortunately I can't recommend this player. I have had one for a month and am returning it. It skips and freezes playing DVDs that my other player, a Sony, plays perfectly. I ahve verified that I didn't just get a bad unit - I exchanged it and the new one did the same thing, and I have talked to others that own this player and report similar problems (one co-worker exchanged his for a JVC). It's a shame, the picture quality is exvellent with the Faroudja/Sage deinterlacing chipset, but the annoyance isn't worth it.
