A very sweet unit. Great reproduction of sound for movies and music. If you really want to feel a difference, add a seperate power amp.

It is one of the best A/V you can find on the market (quality-price). This unit with Nuance speakers is near perfection (for the price). I've crank it up and i was surprise of the sound quality, no clipping and little distorsion (perhaps the speakers).

Excellent Receiver. Good clean sound with no distortion that can be heard. Good power and can add a 6 channel decoder when ready. Remote not the best.

Acabei de comprar um receiver destes aqui no Brazil. Me custou Us$2000,00 po
causa das taxas burocráticas, mas estou muito satisfeito. The beste receiver ever.

Nice performance in DVD or CD.
However, the remote control is too complicated, especially for using with other equipment (the learning function). It's not as half easy as Panasonic's.
Analog inputs for tape decks missing. I know that these decks are obsolete, but an expensive receiver as the 2095 is, should also have these inputs (the copnnection of an MD and Cassete decks simultaneously is impossible).
Otherwise it's all right...

If anyone is still reading these - be sure to try your 2095 with a good quality prologic amp as the rear surround amp. It will give you digital dolby ex and dts es matrix capibility. That plus the front effects channels make for a very cheap way to get the latest technology and keep your 2095 alive for several more years.

This is a definate improvement over the 3, yes 3 bad sony str 925 I went through, no reliability problems at all! It simply rocks the house like a theatre should. It has ton's of features and I like the 6 channel inputs as well as the pre outs for MORE POWER, like I need it. This unit has much better DSP modes than the other's I've heard, notably the sony's. It is very flexible for future upgrades and the sound, so clean it's great. The only weakness I'm really aware of is the Humongous remote, what a monster. I recently uopgraded my wire to MIT5 and it's giving great detail. The 2 front effect channels really open up the image, like a theatre. Notice that sound comes from above the screen at the movies too. I like that it has binding posts on all channels.
The music modes, live concert are great with some classical but I have reduced the delays and echoes for some things, again nice flexibility. I'm still glad I bought it (Feb 99).

I just went to Columbia Audio looking for a new 15" sub woofer and ended up walking out with a 2095 for $1100. The sales person said they sold 25 in under 3 weeks. Just while I was there 2 other 2095s were sold. Whats the deal with the new channel they added? Does it just leech of the high frequencies from the front channels or what?
