I love the receiver, but the tuner has gone out twice! I was surprised not to find a sub preout... Aside from this- it is a great buy.

I received one as a present in 1999, lost it in divorce and replaced it in sept 03. New in box for 135.00 plus shipping. Fantastic value at that price even though it lacks some current must haves.

I got this in Jan 2000 (US$1300 New off ebay) and have it hooked up to Carver AV-505 amplifier (80wpc) and the pair is driving Def Tech BP2000TL mains, CLR2000 Center and BP10B as surrounds. Main source is a Pioneer DV-505 as DVD/CD transport with occational cable tv/vhs coming from a Panasonic 4 head VCR.

Overall Impression: Solid build and does not run hot even after a whole day of use (movie weekend, if you know what I mean). Great sound, no coloration, great remote (a bit on the power hungry side though). Wish I can muck with the crossovers but I guess that is something you got to pay a hell lot more for (like a lexicon). Greate decoding in DD (can't say anything for DTS, my player doesn't do DTS) and the THX cinema mode is even better.
This is probably one of the best values out there, you can't beat it for what it cost.
