Yamaha DDP-1
very nice simple decoder.
its strictly a decoder; no inputs other than the digital surround bitstream(s).
2-line dot-matrix display is a real nice touch. displays current surround format while processing.. nice.
biggest complaint is the popping when the stream is interrupted.
as a pure decoder, its my all-time favorite.
(not too expensive used, either.)

Sounds awesome with my krell KAV-300i/B&W matrix 803II/Yamaha DSPE-492 combination. AC3 rocks!
