Great amp for the money.
Great sound and looks .
I also looked at the B&K and the NAD.
The Rotel sounded just as good and was a a couple hunderd less. Can't beat that.

I must agree with everybody on this one: it is an excellent amp. It has a very musical sound which I love. I however used it with electrostatic speakers and it did trip up on them. I guess this amp doesn't like reactive and/or low impedance loads.

I can't believe how much better this amp makes my speakers sound. DVD movies that were once exciting to watch now become exciting to participate in as each action scene makes my skin tighten. Dialog is now clear and understandable, while the base on action scenes is tight and clear. For the price I spent on this amp, I robbed someone. This amp truly gives the most bang for the buck. Sounds unbelievable on music too. Definitely give this amp a listen, then spend the money you saved on an excellent pre-amp or upgrade your speakers.

This is - according to me - the greatest power amplifier available for that price ($1000). It's not only a roaring THX-certified home theater device, but also a singing audiophile amplifier, and not many manufacturers are able to achieve such a miracle without costing thousands of buck (NAD, perhaps, is the only serious competitor).

To sum up, I *love* the beast.
